Hayden Panettiere Gets Real About Fashion

Friday, December 31st, 2010

Who says all celebrities are excessive spenders when it comes to buying their clothes? Not Hayden Panettiere!

The “Heroes” hottie recently revealed that she isn’t a sheep following the fashion herd. She’s more of an individual than her Hollywood peers.

Hayden told an interviewer, “My style has evolved and become more sophisticated. It’s grown with my personality.”

And while she tries to be frugal, sometimes her obsession with shoes necessitates a little splurging. “Shoes are definitely my guilty pleasure. I have these Givenchy shoes that are a deep plum patent leather. They are stunning. And I love my Louis Vuittons.”

But for the shoe bargain hunter in all of us, Hayden has a hot tip. “Hale bob, Shoe-wise, they’re great, and they’re not an arm and a leg.”

As for the rest of the wardrobe, she loves Forever 21. “You can find great things there–they’re all over the place. I bought a top there for $4.”

Total Request Live: The End of an Era

Friday, December 31st, 2010

For the past 10 years, music lovers have been glued to their televisions every weekday afternoon for MTV’s Total Request Live. And last night, MTV hosted “Total Finale Live,” a fitting end to a decade-long reign.

Starting the night off right, Beyonce Knowles treated the crowd at MTV’s Times Square Studios to a trio of hits including “If I Were a Boy,” “Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It),” and “Crazy in Love,” while stars like Justin Timberlake, Diddy, Kid Rock and Vanessa Minnillo mingled with party guests.

Speaking of Hilary Duff, Taylor Swift told press that her first experience with TRL was as an audience member, where she got to see the “Lizzie McGuire” starlet in person. “When I was 14, I was actually on a trip to New York City with my friends. We snuck in to TRL … and watched Hilary Duff!”

Former veejay Vanessa Minnillo reminisced, “I do know one thing that sticks out is when I was hosting and Mark Wahlberg was my guest. A crazed fan came and attacked him, so being the damsel in distress that I was, I threw my guest in front of me to defend myself, of course! That clip has now played over and over and over, and it’s a running joke here.”

And Mr. TRL himself, Carson Daly, revealed, “Nothing really stood out. I guess traveling, like TRL at the Super Bowl was incredible. I lived in The Bahamas one summer, which was nuts. We did TRL there. It was more like those bigger chunks that were cool. It was crazy.”

Leonardo DiCaprio Goes Yachting in Ibiza

Friday, December 31st, 2010

While his model girlfriend Bar Refaeli has been soaking up the sun in the South of France, Leonardo DiCaprio decided to take a vacation of his own in Ibiza, Spain.

As for his theatrical career, DiCaprio is said to be eyeing a big-screen remake of his longtime favorite television series, “The Twilight Zone”.

According to industry reports, Leo’s production company Appian Way is “seeking script ideas for a film based on the classic television series, which spanned more than 150 episodes between 1959 and 1964.”

The 33-year-old Academy Award-winning actor can also be seen on the big screen later this year in the Ridley Scott-directed spy thriller “Body of Lies” and the Sam Mendes drama “Revolutionary Road.”

Leonardo DiCaprio Lets Loose With Petra

Friday, December 31st, 2010

When he was out clubbing Friday night, Leonardo DiCaprio seemed to be having a really good time. The only problem with that is that he was spotted with a hottie other than his supposed fiancee, Bar Refaeli.

Petra Nemcova, fresh off the James Blunt boat, was observed to be getting a bit close to Leo. “He looked like he was all over her,” says a witness. “They were together from before 12:30 to around 2:30. He was holding her waist and touching her arm. Also, he was smoking up a storm – chain-smoking, almost.”

DiCaprio was celebrating the Tribeca Film Festival launch of “Gardener of Eden,” which he produced. Also there was director Kevin Connolly with his “Entourage” co-star Adrien Grenier, plus brief appearances by Diddy and Andy Roddick.

Leo was alleged to have proposed to Bar, 21, during their recent trip to Israel. It is believed they plan to marry in the Middle-East country this summer. Earlier this month, the 32-year-old hunk dismissed rumors that he and Bar were expecting their first child in autumn as “100 per cent made up”.

This will be the first time in which the feuding duo have been willing to pose for a photo shoot together in two long, bitter years.

Katie Holmes and Suri: Chilly Night Out

Friday, December 31st, 2010

There’s no place quite like New York City at Christmastime. And last night Katie Holmes gave her daughter Suri Cruise a first-hand look at the city’s holiday magic.

Spotted out and about near Rockefeller Center, the “Mad Money” mommy and her cute little toddler were all bundled up to try and ward off the biting cold.

The mother-daughter combo enjoyed the festive lights of the giant Christmas tree before heading over to Dean & Deluca to grab some sweet treats and cookies. The lovely pair then made the trip to the Gerald Schoenfeld Theater for “All My Sons”.

Having grown up in Toledo, Ohio, Katie recently told press that her career was quite a big deal as she finished up high school. “I did grow up quite a bit in the public eye because I started at 17. The level of attention has definitely increased in the last couple of years. So early on, my attention wasn’t really on that. Movies were such a highlight in Ohio. There’s not a great deal to do and sports is pretty much what you do there.”

Holmes also revealed her first movie experience as a child. “The first movie I remember seeing is E.T. at a drive-in with my mom and my cousin. We sat on top of the car with our popcorn buckets and Care Bear matching sweatpants outfits. I was so excited!”
